President Joe Biden’s granddaughter, Naomi Biden, wore an elegant lace gown for her White House wedding to Peter Neal on Saturday.
The White House released an official photo of the bride and groom with the president and his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, hours after the ceremony. Naomi’s dress, created by Ralph Lauren according to Vogue, featured a tulle skirt with long sleeves that fell in an off-the-shoulder silhouette. The bodice and neckline were completely covered in lace.
This isn’t Naomi’s first interaction with the label — the outlet reported that she wore a collection by the American brand for her grandfather’s inauguration day and attended Ralph Lauren’s Fall 2022 show in March.
Photos shared on Instagram by ceremony organizer Ravanelli Events gave a closer look at the bride’s cathedral-length veil and hair, which was pulled back into a low bun. She appeared to be wearing small pearl earrings and holding a simple bouquet of white flowers.
Ahead of the wedding, Naomi and Neil also shared a behind-the-scenes look at the preparations, with Neil posting a photo Thursday of the couple getting their marriage license at a Washington, D.C. marriage bureau. He noted in the caption that they took the photo using a self-timer.
He wrote, “I have to put money into a shot to secure a marriage license.”
Aerial photos taken on the morning of the event show guests gathered on the White House lawn adorned with white roses and wreaths.
According to Talia Lackritz, Naomi and Neil’s wedding is the 19th wedding to take place at the White House. It’s also the first in nearly a decade — former President Barack Obama hosted a rose garden party for photographer Pete Souza’s 2013 wedding.
